Dining with Jane Austen
If you are a fan of Jane Austen’s novels and you love food, then you will love this presentation that explores the role of food in Austen’s works and gives a detailed description of the dining styles in late Georgian/Regency England. Impress the arrogant Lady Catherine de Bourgh from “Pride and Prejudice” by learning how to plan a dinner worthy of royalty and shock Mr. Woodhouse, everyone’s favorite finicky eater from “Emma”, with decadent palate pleasers. Program participants will each receive a box of period inspired treats good enough for Miss Austen herself.
